Science can serve as an intellectual bridge between cultures, religions, and political systems; the workshop is an instance of Scientific Diplomacy to address challenges in Digital Security and Privacy by constructive collaboration: It will connect the respective research communities of Iran, Austria, and Germany.

A joint paper by GTMD members Masoumeh Zare, Dr.  Manshaei, Mehdi Adibi, and Dr. Montazeri, titled "Theoretical BiologyNeurons and Astrocytes Interaction in Neuronal Network: A Game-Theoretic Approach" has been accepted in the Journal of Theoretical Biology.

A joint paper by Mehdi Naderi Soorki, Dr. Manshaei, Prof. Hossein Saidi, and Dr. Behrouz Maham from University of Tehran, with the title "On Uplink Virtual MIMO with Device Relaying Cooperation Enforcement in 5G" has been accepted to the IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing.

GameSec 2016, the seventh Conference on Decision and Game Theory for Security will take place in New York, NY, USA, on November 2-4, 2016. The goal of GameSec is to bring together researchers in an effort to discuss the major technical challenges and recent results that highlight the connection between game theory, control, distributed optimization, economic incentives and real world security, reputation, trust and privacy problems in a variety of technological systems.
